Which eMail Newsletter Service Should I Use?

I have been investigating each of the above companies. They all over something to offer.

For a small list MailChimp can be ideal. For up to 2,000 subscribers you can send free. You are limited to 12,000 email sends per month. That would be 2,000 subscribers times 6 newsletters. That is a fair number of mailings.

I use MailChimp -- since it does what I need it to do. I have simple needs :)

Many of my clients are attracted to iContact and AWeber. I prefer iContact over AWeber for a couple of reasons:

  • iContact will allow you to add names without additional confirmation. AWeber insists on a new (monitored) confirmation.
  • iContact has excellent video tutorials and help system.
  • iContact was very tolerant when I phoned them pretending to be a total newbie user. Good phone support. AWeber was good too. But iContact was just a little better.
